TIME dotCom Berhad operates a fully owned fibre network in Malaysia, focused on condos and high-rise buildings. Current routers are Huawei 2-in-1 ONT devices using 192.168.100.1 as the default gateway. This guide covers all models including the WiFi 7 HG8145B7N and OmniMesh system.
TIME dotCom Berhad operates a fully owned fibre-to-the-home network in Malaysia. The company focuses on high-rise residential buildings (condos, serviced apartments) and commercial premises, with expanding coverage in landed housing areas across Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and Penang. Plans range from 200Mbps to 2Gbps with symmetrical or near-symmetrical upload speeds.
How to Login to Your TIME Fibre Router
The current routers are Huawei 2-in-1 devices that combine the ONT (optical network terminal) and WiFi router into a single unit. Connect to your WiFi network or plug a LAN cable into one of the router’s LAN ports, then open a browser and type 192.168.100.1 in the address bar.
Enter admin for both username and password. This gives basic access to WiFi settings, connected devices, and network status.
For advanced settings (DNS, port forwarding, VLAN), use the superadmin credentials: username telecomadmin, password admintelecom. Note that the provider locks down certain settings on their routers. If you need full control, request bridge mode from TIME support.
If the page does not load, confirm you are on the provider’s network. Check the sticker on the back of your router for the correct IP address. Older models or third-party routers may use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 instead.

OmniMesh WiFi Coverage
OmniMesh is the mesh WiFi system branded by TIME. It uses EasyMesh-compatible nodes that pair with the main router to extend WiFi coverage across larger homes.
Included mesh nodes by plan:
- 1Gbps (24-month contract): 1 free WiFi 7 mesh node (worth RM399)
- 2Gbps: 2 free WiFi 6 mesh nodes (HG8145X6)
Additional mesh node pricing (24-month contract):
| Quantity | Monthly Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 node | RM19/month |
| 2 nodes | RM35/month |
| 3 nodes | RM47/month |
Additional nodes can be added during signup or later through the Self Care portal at my.time.com.my. Each node captures and rebroadcasts the router’s wireless signal. For best results, place nodes halfway between the main router and the dead zone area.
WiFi 7 Upgrade for Existing Subscribers
Existing subscribers can upgrade to WiFi 7 hardware:
- Subscribers with 20+ months tenure receive a free WiFi 7 router when upgrading to the 1Gbps plan.
- Subscribers on the 200Mbps plan can upgrade the router to WiFi 7 for RM99 one-time.
- All other subscribers can upgrade devices from RM19/month via the Self Care portal.
The WiFi 7 router is backward compatible with WiFi 4, WiFi 5, and WiFi 6 devices. Older devices will connect at their maximum supported standard.
Changing Your TIME Wi-Fi Password
Log in at 192.168.100.1 with admin/admin. On the Huawei interface, go to WLAN or Wi-Fi Settings in the menu. You will see entries for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
Change the SSID (network name) and WPA PreSharedKey (password) for each band. Use WPA3 if your devices support it, otherwise WPA2-Personal. Set a password of at least 12 characters. Click Apply.
Both bands update separately. Some users set matching SSIDs on both bands and let devices choose the best band automatically. Others use different names (e.g., “MyWiFi” and “MyWiFi-5G”) for manual selection.

Using Your Own Router with TIME Fibre
The service is the simplest Malaysian ISP for using your own router. No PPPoE, no VLAN tagging, no special credentials. Pure DHCP.
Option 1: Double NAT (quick setup)
- Connect your own router’s WAN port to a LAN port on the Huawei device.
- Set your router’s WAN type to DHCP.
- Both routers will be active. Your devices connect to your router’s WiFi.
This creates a double NAT, which is fine for most users but may cause issues with gaming, VoIP, or VPN passthrough.
Option 2: Bridge mode (recommended)
- Contact TIME support at 1800-18-1818 or via live chat.
- Request bridge mode on your Huawei device.
- TIME will remotely configure the device to pass the WAN connection through to a LAN port.
- Connect your own router’s WAN port to that LAN port.
- Set WAN to DHCP. Your router receives the public IP directly.
Bridge mode gives your router full control with no double NAT. This is the preferred setup for gaming, port forwarding, and VPN use.
If your condo has a wall outlet (ethernet port in the wall) instead of a visible Huawei device, plug your router’s WAN port directly into the wall outlet. Set WAN to DHCP. The connection should come up within a minute.
Troubleshooting TIME Fibre Issues
Here are the most common problems and how to fix them.
-
Login page does not load. Check that you are connected to the TIME network. Type http://192.168.100.1 with the full prefix. If you replaced the router with your own, the admin IP depends on your device’s default (e.g., 192.168.0.1 for TP-Link). For the TIME Huawei router, only 192.168.100.1 works.
-
Connected but no internet. Power cycle the router by unplugging for 30 seconds. If the wall outlet has no visible ONT, unplug the ethernet cable from the wall, wait 30 seconds, reconnect. The system sometimes needs a MAC address refresh when swapping routers.
-
Slow Wi-Fi speeds. The provider delivers close to advertised speeds on wired connections. Test with a LAN cable first. On a 1Gbps plan, expect 800-950Mbps wired. If wired is fine but WiFi is slow, use the 5GHz band, move the router centrally, or add OmniMesh nodes. Contact 1800-18-1818 if wired speeds are below 80% of your plan.
-
Advanced settings locked. The Huawei routers restrict certain settings under the admin account. Use the superadmin credentials (telecomadmin/admintelecom) for DNS, port forwarding, and VLAN access. If those do not work, the provider may have changed them. Contact support or switch to bridge mode with your own router.
-
Building-wide outage. The service operates building-level connections. If your entire condo is down, check the TIME app for maintenance notices. Ask your condo management group. If neighbours are also affected, it is a building-level issue and the provider is likely aware.
-
Account and billing. Manage your account at my.time.com.my or through the TIME app. Live chat support is responsive for technical issues. Call 1800-18-1818 for phone support.
Test your TIME connection
After logging into your router, run a speed test to confirm TIME is delivering the throughput your plan promises. The widget below uses M-Lab's open NDT7 protocol — see the full speed test page for details on how the measurement works.
